I'm guessing at that year it's a Siemens map sensor setup rather than maf. This can lead to it feeling restricted. But you can make it a little more lively with a FSE adjustable fuel regulator, manifold , exhaust and air filter.

I’ve put a filter on and it’s a lot better car runs nice like it can breath. Next il put the exhaust on so that should give it a put more power and il give the fuel regulator a blast. What about the inlet manifold? Could I upgrade that ? Having trouble finding one or one that fits any ideas?

If it's a Siemens map setup , you will struggle for inlet modifications which are mainly a bigger throttle body on the maf setup cars. The Siemens has a different throttle body.

No other inlets fit on maf cars without a lot of work.

Just to be doubly sure , have you a pic of your engine bay?
