Post VAG and What Car? cosying-up?
Readers of What Car? magazine, these days a poor pastiche of what it used to be 40 years ago might have noticed the magazine's already strong love of most things VAG increasing lately - the latest example being VAG product victories in over 40% of the 'Best Buy' categories in the 2016 What Car? car of the year awards - including overall victory for the new Audi A4.

Now news emerges that the magazine/media group Haymarket Network - publishers of What Car? magazine, (and others) has won a lucrative contract with VAG to supply content for their 'exciting new web platform'.
Haymarket have been advertizing for staff for this new VW venture, to be located at VAG's UK HQ in Milton Keynes.

Apart from the likelyhood of Haymarket employees being supplied exclusively with VAG company cars, only a cynic would imagine that such an enterprise - a national new car buying magazine sharing a bed with a large car importing group - could result in any possible conflict of interest...

Im an Autocar reader, which is Haymarket aswell. I've noticed over the last few years how according to them, every VW is a 5* vehicle and better than everything else

Funny how Autocar tho is always full of big glossy VAG adverts every week....
