Because they save a few quid per car not fitting them, then make a few more quid selling you a locking bolt and a new spare wheel after you get robbed.

Used to be common back in the day, the thieves would do four cars and have a full set of alloys to sell...

Bad luck there M8 :(

Goes to show German car makers are still tight when it comes to levels standard equipment and charges for 'extras'
2009 Proton Persona 16V IAFM saloon Automatic Ecologic, (Mica Black - my does-everything chief wheels)
2017 Citroen C3 1.2 PureTech 82 'Feel' hatch, (Ruby Red/Black roof - Wife's new offbeat 12V trolley)
1993 Porsche 968 16V Tiptronic Coupe, (Black, been 'sold' twice now, but no-one actually pays...)

 Re: Long Gonnneeeeee......
 ... so then, after consulting with my employer, I have told the Hire Company it has been nicked. The HC told me to ring around the VW Dealers to find a 'RIM ONLY' in stock.

Our local Benfield has one, arranged collection - after they rang me back, to confirm authorisation to pay for it had come over from the HC....

I get it tomorrow.... and then need to go to the nominated 'Tyre Repair' account holder for a tyre to be fitted....... HC won't pay dealer prices for a tyre to be put on.

Geezz.... :-#

Spare Tyre to be kept in back of van from now on

We have had no end of Landrover Disco's having theirs go missing recently. We are out in the country and only seems to have started since a few Irish caravanners have moved into the area
