.
11 stone wet through, a bit of a pi55 head, and a little difficult to understand, but still decent entertainment.......

I personally wont use Castrol I find its to sticky and it will hold small particles which the filter should be grabbing..there is the Fuchs oil 10w 40 on offer @ Opie at the moment along with the full syth if you should need that.. GTX is a straight mineral oil and not part synth its a lie and proven when Mobil took them to court and the B*ggers are still putting it on the bottle..

Both are a good buy but its the postage costs that kills the deal ..this is where Carpartsforless wins.. :smt033

The link was for a litre of Mobil at halfords. I personally wouldn't put halfords in my car regardless.

A known brand can be had for around the same money.

My point was that the offer advertised on TV was for 4 litres. Captain Proton linked to a different, substantially more expensive, product.

I find a logic deficit in that observation, monami. If Castrol is stickie & holds onto particles like a Scotsman to his loose change... it wont go through the filter?

Oil passes through filter membrane (quality filter spec.) = Oil Nil, Filter 1 (..or a 100,000,000 specs!) :smt017

Just sortaa sayinn, like

In the bloomin engine and oil pump and galleries..it comes from the sump in the first place then drawn up buy the pump into the filter but the damage is already done due to all the particles in the sump on older engines..dont forget bores often only get splashed so all the particles in the oil are shot up in bore wash..any road..not all filters are good at catching all particles which is why I have often said on here use the best available and not some cheap tat from a factor..even the best filters dont catch all but you have to do the best you can to help your engine dont you..Monami << thats french by the way.. ;)Oh and read this and think when you have opened up an engine at the rocker cover and seen all that gunk in there..how do you think that got there ..LEVITATE..nope through the filter first.. #-o
