Yeah, I've now looked it up, 9.5 secs to 60 is the slowest for a 3 litre Omega

Like to kid meself that my Persona was that quick \:D/

- but I think the reality is that old Omega has lost lot of it's 207 horses over the years... #-o

.....Ahhh! F.A.S.T

Out in my SAAB CD2.0LPT one night... on the A19 north of the Tunnel... some geezzer howled past in a MG/Rover200 thinggie, smartly followed by an AUDI A3 thinggie. As their red lights disappeared into the darkness, I thought 'hmm...'

Another unexpected duel on the same straight of road as that old V6 Omega yonks back - this time a very new (65 reg) Bini Cooper, clean and shiney in the latest trendy colour 'Volcanic Orange' (more like dirty yellow) so their website says

They also claim that the crate, complete with new 3-cylinder 1500 engine, can churn-out 136 BHP, (@ only 4400 RPM) and shift 0-60 in 7.9 secs for ye olde manual - or 0.1 quicker if it's an automatic version.

Now truth be told mine was unusualy running on 'full-fat' 114 BHP petrol mode, (rather than LPG as normal) and he/she was pulling away from me this time - but very slowly and I caught them when they toppped-out/gave it up at an indicated 110...

Point is Persona IAFM Auto can't do 0-60 in a matching 8 seconds, but sure is quicker than the 12.5 - 13.5 seconds range most often claimed of it \:D/
