Re: Coming this Thursday at Lidl
Think i saw that halfords professional range ( box sets) half price recently
My mate has one, absolute quality bits of kit
Doubt the ratchets would last very long in the lidl set Think the halfords one, you can just buy and replace the mechanism in the ratchet if it goes iirc, rather than buying a whole new ratchet

By-the-by silverline also have a nice feel.

Re: Coming this Thursday at Lidl + Aldi
For real jobs as in big work, tight things, Ive got and use Sealey, Draper, Britool, Halfords, Silverline, Record and Snap on there my big tools.
Then for normal medium and smaller jobs I use Lidl, Aldi tools and there fine for that sort of thing.
Any cheaper makes I wont tutch anymore knowing what will last and wat wont etc.
Thats the way I use my tools and learn't whats wat and got a good collection like a garage.

Not much there in my branch of late..but they still have some old stuff to shift..stood looking at the compressor the other morning when I went over early to get some bread and cat food..was really tempted I have to say now I am a bit more mobile these days [fingers crossed] but came away without it..could imagine the comments from her indoors if I had bought it..

I got one of those powerstations - silverline one off Amazon , ideal if you need to jump start a car. Got a compressor on it as well.

Bit shy of buying a jump starter cos they have been known to fry an ECU with the sudden surge they can give a system..cant remember when I last bought a battery mind you..

Must be iffy jump starter then lol , never had issues jump starting with leads or the powerstation. I think both our cars had batteries about 4 years ago - the evo is a tiny , tiny thing lol For the coup I got a high cranking diesel battery.

I want one, but I want a 24v impact ratchet first.
. 11 stone wet through, a bit of a pi55 head, and a little difficult to understand, but still decent entertainment....... .
